We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

MID-ATLANTIC REGION
Energy Efficiency Consultant (Outside Sales)
(Baltimore, MD)

The role of the Energy Efficiency Consultant is to develop new business on behalf of NRM in the Baltimore, Maryland area. An EEC has the unique role of introducing the program to small commercial and industrial (“C&I") end-use electricity customers who can potentially benefit significantly by reducing their electricity bill by reducing their demand for electricity. Further, an EEC will work with prospective clients by conducting energy audits and continuing through closing the sale, with involvement in the project installation to ensure kWh savings is optimized. Although this is a Maryland-based position, the EEC will work from his/her home office with full support from the corporate office located in Canton, MA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the full range of the sales-cycle beginning with lead generation to closing the sale.
  • Conduct energy audits for eligible prospective clients which may extend across multi-components of NRM’s service offering.
  • Articulate the features/functionality of NRM’s service offering including our award winning CoolTrol® and Remote Site Manager™ systems.
  • Develop rapport with new NRM clients to ensure project commissioning optimizes kWh savings and serves their best interests.
  • State-wide travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong, independent and team-oriented work ethic.
  • Extensive cold calling experience.
  • Able to distill technical information in a user-friendly explanation.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • 3-5 years’ related experience which may include sales, refrigeration controls, and/or energy efficiency.
  • College Degree.
  • Will be required to pass a drug test and background screening.
