CoolTrol® Alarm Diagnosis

Low Temperature

A low temperature can be caused by many different problems. The first step is to check for noticeable issues. Ask yourself the following questions and then apply the appropriate solution:

Cause
Is cold air entering the cooler?
Solution
Close all cooler doors
Is there another Zone of cooling in this cooler/freezer?
Check that CoolTrol set points are the same for each zone of cooling.
Have you verified CoolTrol temperatures with a reliable, separate thermometer at the same spot in the cooler/freezer were the ‘Room Sensor’ is located?
IF the CoolTrol temperature reads significantly lower than your separate thermometer, CALL NRM.

After applying the above solutions, the cooler/freezer should return to normal operating temperatuåre in about 30-45 minutes. The alarm will stop automatically when the room temperature rises.

IF the low temperature still exists, proceed with the following steps:
1) Make a note of the current temp in cooler/freezer.
2) Put CoolTrol into Bypass.
3) Let cooler/freezer run for 30 minutes.
4) Take note of temperature now.
5) If temperature has risen to operating range, then there may be a CoolTrol Control
   problem. CALL NRM.
6) If temperature has dropped or remains the same then there may be a
refrigeration problem. CALL YOUR SERVICE TECHNICIAN
